Day 2 - we're here!

I have so much to update on, but we won't have internet til Wednesday. For now I'm stuck using my cell so I'll be brief and I promise a bette update later. The day 2 drive went smoothly and our apartment is wonderful. The pictures that follow are of Winston sleeping in my lap on the drive and the view of the Colorado River from a bar Mike's dad took us to.

Day 1

The drive so far has gone exceptionally well. Beautiful weather, light traffic... Its almost gone TOO well! After four energy drinks and almost 800 miles, we decided to stop for the night in Beaumont, Texas. We crossed the Texas border just as the sun was setting, so I'll leave you with a picture of just that.

independence weekend

Sara, Chris, Mike and I went to Satchel's on Thursday and ate outside in the VW van! We had one of the phenomenal salads, a mama pizza (with pepperoni, spicy sausage, mushrooms and jalapenos) and a few beers. It was delicious!

Then the four of us went on campus to watch the fireworks from the stadium and hung out in midtown...

On the actual 4th Sara, Mike and I met up with Megan, Norman & co. for a pool-side barbeque. We grilled delicious burgers, brats and hotdogs and indulged in America's favorite beverage- beer!

When the barbeque died down we went back to Mike's pool where we let Roxie swim for her first time. She was nervous but did really well!

Mike also helped me move out of my apartment on Sunday! Yaaaaay

ps- only 3 days left of work! YAY! Then I'm going home! YAY! This is gonna be a good week :)

hook 'em horns!

I got season football tickets! I'll be sitting in a block with the Advertising Graduate Council which should be a blast. It will be difficult to leave the Gator Nation and adjust to the Longhorn lifestyle, but weekly football games and tailgating will definitely make the adjustment easier :)
